A folding utility cart can help you in many varied ways. It will take some of the strain off of your body as you transport items from place to place. It is a very handy way to take supplies to the beach or on a picnic and it can used to go camping and carry your tent and other supplies. They may also be used to carry groceries, laundry, carrier bags and grass supplies to name 1 or 2.

There are some great canvas folding utility carts that come in bright colours, look like a large truck and will make any trip to the beach or to a picnic far easier. They're very lightweight and robust enough to transport two children in them. Or you can chuck in beach towels, beach chairs and coolers and be supplied for a long day of fun in the sun without wounding your back, shoulders or arms in the process. These are lightweight and generally can support approximately a hundred and fifty pounds. The wheels are robust enough to go over sand and you may wish to look for one that has inbuilt support poles that may support a canopy especially if food and drinks will be sitting in the hot sun all day. Or if you're transporting your kids in them, you won't have to worry about them getting excessive sun.

There's also a folding utility cart that's called a platform cart. They are great for smaller loads but that does not mean they cannot carry a heavy load. The majority of these kinds of carts can support up to about 300 pounds. They often have a steel deck and that makes them very resilient and strong. The wheels will roll smoothly over just about any surface and many of them have vinyl fenders that save the walls and doorways from nicks and bumps.

As well as canvas folding utility carts there are plenty of on the market that are made of lightweight aluminum and zinc plated steel. These are usually rust resistant. They have larger wheels and are ideal for transporting items like topsoil, firewood, mulch and sailing and camping equipment. Some include a front panel that lifts out and this makes for straightforward loading and emptying. These carts are stable and simple to maneuver. When not in use, they fold and you can hang them in a closet or on a garage wall.

A folding utility cart need not be constrained to wagon-type vehicles. A few individuals consider tall shelving (like you would find in a college or library) to be folding utility carts. They're on wheels, they are portable and they are used to transport items like books. Most come with 3 shelves and are often also employed in medical offices.
