5 Top Designer Shoe Trends Fall 2012

By Sarah Stuart-Crandall

I will begin by enumerating the "trends that have become staples":

1. Platforms and wedges are ex- trends that have now become a semi-permanent shoe classification.

2. "Heels for Casual" has been a staple for several years time, either as stilettos or chunky heels.

3. Booties and ankle boots are an enduring class just because they have been always been available, but 1 or 2 seasons past they were officially labeled as such. In case you are wondering, difference between them is:

Ankle boots have a wide opening for jean or pant looks and booties are characterized as an ankle-high shoe more suitable for looks with a "hug the ankle" fit.

To introduce the fashion shoe trends for Fall 2012:

1. Vintage-inspired: This is the top trend since it dictates numerous other trends. The definitive age is Victorian, with lace-up boots and multi-strap pumps. Fendi's Victorian multi-strap peep toe platform pump is a remarkable forerunner in blue and black suede.

2. Smoking flats: No, don't take up the dirty habit, but the shoe style is a major trend this season; particularly in animal print calf. The best example is by Matt Bernson in a tan and black leopard print. You will feel just like Hugh Hefner!

3.Velvet: Miu Miu's velvet high heel loafer pump exemplifies both the velvet trend and Victorian, with enormous velvet bows on the front.

4. Lacing and buckles: The best version is Fendi's Victorian lace-up bootie in a media blend red, brown, black, tan and white color-blocking. Yes, all those! The Fendi Fall 2012 Collection has been portrayed as An "infinite innovative interplay of textures, colors

and fabrics" to quote Style.com.

5. Functional bows: "Fit to be tied." If you don't remember the way to tie a bow, you'd better practice. Gucci's Viola open toe platform pump with a velvet bow closure is amust-have for day-to evening.

There are truly 10 top designer shoe trends, but I do not wish to burden you! More later!
