Three Ways To Categorize Commercial Air Conditioning Systems

By Neil Limas

There are different types of commercial enterprises.Different things influence their identity. From the industry they are based in to where they source their raw materials from, every single aspect of a commercial enterprise defines their identity. As their identities vary greatly, so do their specific needs. For instance, while one commercial enterprise may require a certain type of commercial air conditioning system, another might warrant a different type.

In the kind of economic environment that exists today, the majority of commercial enterprises have to be careful because even the smallest of factors can derail their objectives. This is why something as simple as the type of air conditioning system you use in your offices can play a major role in its long term future.

While you go through the industry in search of the right commercial air conditioning service then you may have already found many air conditioning systems suited for commercial enterprises.Even so, in order to make the right choice, you should learn how air conditioning systems are categorized. Here is some information that should help you greatly.

Method Used For Cooling

In terms of the mode of cooling followed by the enterprise level air conditioning systems, there are two types. The first is the traditional type of air conditioning systems which rely on radiation. The inherent method of cooling in these systems is a network of pipes and tubes which are kept out of view in the walls, floors and ceilings. The cooling occurs through cold water flowing through these pipes which take away the heat in the room.

The other type is that of forced air systems, which are common in modern day enterprises. These systems force cooled air through the building to bring its temperatures down.Owing to the fact that forced air systems are preferred by the majority of people throughout the world, they are used more often.

Zone Based Categorization

Size and the number of control panels used can also be a way to differentiate between various air conditioning systems.Air conditioning systems that are based on a single control panel would be known as single zone air conditioning systems. In contrast, multiple zone air conditioning systems are those systems that work in a large area with the help of more than one control panel.

The benefit of using multiple zone air conditioning systems is that they allow different zones to have varying temperatures. This provides more flexibility to the enterprise and is, hence, preferred by medium to large scale enterprises.

Varying Air Volume

It is also possible to categorize air conditioning systems on the basis of whether the air volume they work on is kept constant or not.An air conditioning system that works through variable air volume is useful because it offers greater adaptability to the enterprise.

However, as variable air conditioning systems are more complex in nature, they turn out to be more expensive. As the cost of an air conditioning system depends entirely on how many features it has or how advanced it is, enterprises may have to find a balance between technology and finances.
