Top Tips If Considering Purchasing A Cigarettes Rolling Machine

By Thelma Kent

The price of a cigarette is getting ridiculous. Plus, more and more state and local governments are adding taxes, so the price keeps going up. This is why many people choose to roll their own with a cigarettes rolling machine. These devices make producing a cigarette quick and simple, and yield a perfect smoke every time.

Loose tobacco and papers are cheaper than buying cartons. This not only saves money, but one can also try a much wider range of tobaccos. These versions are generally higher quality then the commercial stuff that is available, plus there is a wider range of choice in strength and aroma. Also adding your own flavors is easy.

The most common type is a simple two roller system. This device has one fixed roller and one that unhinges. The rollers are held together with a strip of vinyl that holds the tobacco. With the roller unhinged, the proper amount of tobacco is put in, and then the roller is closed. A paper is rolled into the machine like putting paper in a typewriter. A couple spins of the roller and a perfect right or left handed cigarette is produced.

Variations on this theme include hand cranked and electric models. These speed up the process a little bit. Although not very portable, if making a number of smokes they are a handy type to have around.

Injector systems can produce more commercial looking cigarette and can include a filter. The filter can also be mentholated to produce that classic menthol taste. Instead of paper, one purchases pre-rolled tubes that are empty. These systems have an area where the loose tobacco is put and the tube inserted. A crank or electric motor injects the tobacco into the tube for a perfect cigarette.

As the price of pack continues to climb, rolling your own becomes much more economical. Plus one can experiment with different types of tobacco and flavors not generally available. A cigarettes rolling machine makes producing them much quicker and the result is a better, smoother smoke.
